A Touch Of Nostalgia

Helloooooooooooo!
I haven't written here in, well, forever!
Since I've been absent I've:
  • Discovered the Mighty Boosh
  • Starred in commercials for/and in 'The Merchant of Venice'
  • Delighted my friends with the knowledge that I can sing 'Supercalifrajilisticexpialadocious' backwards
  • Started writing letters to everyone in the world I admire including Oprah Winfrey and a myriad of others- I'll let you know if I get replies back. ( I spent $15 in air mail so I hope I get A reply back)
  • Watched every episode of Kath and Kim from series one to four including the movie.
  • Attempted to watch 'The Sound Of Music' on Youtube (I watched 'Mary Poppins' instead)
  • Recited a 1000 Kath and Kim lines
  • Embarked on an epical adventure by watching 'Gone With The Wind'
  • Got 20/20 for my 'Hamlet' assessment.

So, as you can see, I've achieved much since we last do-si-doed the floor of the World Wide Web together.

But, as I've also come to realise, I have realised that life is not all about the job you get, the money you earn or the house you buy. In life, I really want to achieve my own goals and be happy in the knowledge, that little by little, our genreation can make a differece.

We are not the generation of ignorance, greed, selfishness that the media tries to make out. We are the generation of knowledge, compassion, thoughtfulness , power and change. And this is the most important thing I have learned since we last met.

So tally ho Mr Joe, 'till we meet again. I'm off to enjoy some more of 'Gone With The Wind'. I actually want to finish it before I die. :-0

Until next time, amigo pardree

Curse The Weather and it's Wetness

Hellloooo everybody,
Grrr, the thing about rain is that when you're in it, you get wet. A very profound statement from moi I know, but I felt it necessary to point it out.
What I am alluding to is, that I'm wet, cold, muddy and smell like horse manure. Merde, or shit if you will.
Not to worry, these are the pluses of owning ponies, horses and equine creatures of the four legged variety. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world...
Hmmm.
Not really. :-)
Aha, it was a fun Tuesday had by all- the rain kept us in terribly good spirits. Double english, (yay!!!) art, study and drama. (Not in that order- it'd be terrible!)
That's the thing I love about drama, it keeps you sane, but it makes you insane with the amount of work that goes into it. Learning lines, stage blocking (movement of the actors- how strange if we could stop a stage from being a stage... Hey you stage!!! Get off our... stage??) and a myriad of other special things.
So, it is needless to say that I am up to 'pussy's bow in my palm pilot" (please- no sexual innuendos here) with things that I have to do, before the end of term. So, it has been a very enjoyable start to the HSC year... NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, all those brave musketeers, who are undertking the C.O.D. (COURSE OF DEATH) or the S.H.I.T. (STRESSFUL, HORRIBLE, INFINITE TESTS) I say 'cheerio- good luck old boy' and keep going- we're all going to make it -I can feel it in my waters.

For the rest of you who don't have an HSC, already have a life/job/family/career/married a nuclear physicist I would say 'screw you' but that would be rude so I shall say 'Bloody Hell You're Lucky!!!'.

From Your Infinte Pal Of Wisdom In All Areas Of The Education And Schooling Faculty Of Life,
Alicia. xx:-)

PS: Spesh mention to Paulo Bono- my apologies for the comment of Brooke Munce's blog- my ulterior personality took over and sometimes I can't control it. I think you are a fab guy and anyone who is a friend/relation of B.Munce is a ... gets a big tick in my book.

We Have A Lot To Thank The French For

Hello Blogateers,

I hope that again, in the last only 24hrs that we last chatted, you have been well and keeping yourself out of trouble- and tomato bushes for that matter- they hurt!!!!!
"When is she going to write something we want to read/or is remotely interesting so that we are not sitting here drooling over our computers like senile old fools having senior moments (I mean so disrespect to the elderly here, in fact I love them I have set up my own charity "Give the old folks something to knit about)..." I hear you ask.
Well.
The nub and the gist of it all is that as I am supposed to be working on my art and drama I have nothing to say that would be of real interest to you as this is what I am supposed to be doing. So, until I am back at school with the 'Boffins' (more later) I don't really have that much to natter about.
So, nevertheless (love that word!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) today's little jaunt shall be swift and clean.
Let me leave you with a couple of my favourite sayings (agghh what am I, I'm going into priest mode) from a couple of tv shows that I enjoy that you can ponder about over your Sunday roast. (If you live in Aus it is Sunday if you live somewhere else you can apply the ' Sunday roast' to your Thursday, Friday, Saturday roast... shutup shutup Alicia...)
The first quote:
"It only has eyebrows on Saturday!" (Father Ted)
and the next:
"I'm almost as excited as the time when I won that beauty contest"
"Yes, but we were playing Monopoly at the time, weren't we Alice?" (The Vicar of Dibley)
(Aha, I figured out why I was going into priest mode...)

TTFN (ta ta for now) and so long, adieu, farewell, goodbye, see ya mate, tatty bye, and bon voyage (ahh I love the French!!)
Enjoy your weekend/soon to be weekend etc

It's Now A Good Time As Ever

Well, blog followers!!!
I have my first two comments!!!!
The first one from the lovely and charming Brooke who always has something hilarious and wonderful to say! I love you Brooke!!
The second one is from my across the ocean friend Paulo Bono- lead singer of U2. Joking, joking... Anyways Paulo, if you do end up reading this- I wish you all the best in your Stock Market adventures and don't forget- you're never too old to start being young!!!!! Ahahahaha no lasting harm done here I am as sane as the next pineapple fritter.

Well you may all be extremely curious as to what I have been up to in the last 24 hrs since we conversed... Well to be perfectly honest I am curious too!!!!! Ha ha.
I have actually been learning my lines from two delightful plays which we have been doing in Drama. 'Threepenny 'Mack the Pyscho Knife' Opera' and 'Mother Courage and her Excessive Children With Stange Names'- Swiss Cheese anyone???

Well it's been a hard slog as we have just finished doing our IPs in Drama. (IPs I hear you ask- is this some sort of crude joke??) Well, actually they're our Individual Performances for our HSC (da da daaaaa) stuff. 6-8 mins of rambling anyone??
Actually it's not really rambling- it's an assortment of comicness ('we are are bus children.. my bus child name is spare tyre' and something about a woman named Venus at Byron Bay') and sombre/scariness (Hannah's amazing version of Edgar Allan Poe's 'The Raven' ooohhhh).

So then after this 6-8 min fiasco/nervy/scary IP business we now have to learn a million lines on Bertolt 'Something Something Shizenhauser' Brecht's stuff. Ahhhhh!

But I cannot complain... My life is not all grey skies and the last biscuit in the jar dramas, it is filled with the humble and intererstings aboutings around the place, of yours truly.

So the moral of the story today is: be merry, be gay (and the other way too, if you wish) and say g'day to that scary man/man lady at the bus stop who's been trying to catch your eye; but you just cough loudly and immerse yourself in the world of bus timetables...

This is moi (Alicia mon frere) I think it means 'my friend' in French.. No hang on, that means 'my brother' - noooooo I'm not your brother.

Mon Ami. I think that's 'my friend'- will have to check the French Pocket Dictionary Na Na Na Na Na Na Na ETC....

XXALICIA. (I DIDN'T put 3 xxxs because sometimes it's considered pornographical .(:-)

Jesus as a dinosaur- 'Now that we have finished ravaging that beast, let's park it and sit down and have a chat about those plush couches I've been meaning to order for the chapel.'
Welcome thrill seekers to the wondeful world of I, your friend (am I moving too quickly?) Alicia.
Firstly and foremost (what is this- an election speech? ) I would like to thank my friend Brooke B. (The 'B' is for 'Boffin' is case you were wondering Brooke...) Munce for her creative and inspiring blog which has caused me to create my own.
(Drumroll please...)
I am not too sure what I am supposed to blog about so I will blog about anything I feel should be blogged or that just pops into my head, like... the time I got my head stuck between the bars at a ride in Wet 'n' Wild... No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Too painful!!!!!!!!!!!!! And embarassing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So there we have it blogateers my first ever blog since the court case that I will post on my blog thingy.
Catch you later (not literally that would be in breach of my court agreements) bu I will figuratively see you later....
Alicia (P.S. I'm not really a crazy stalker/molesterer that was just, you know 'umour. )
